Collection with Claude Aiello

The Recto-verso project was made jointly with the famous French ceramicist Claude Aiello in Vallauris – the cradle of French pottery. The Recto-verso collection made jointly with Claude Aiello was presented, inter alia, in the French museum of ceramics Magnelli and the Belgian design museum Grand-Hornu-Images.

The entire collection is a set of small ceramic objects with dual functionalities. Each of the objects changes its functionality at the time of changing orientation. A flower pot becomes a vase, another vase becomes an ashtray, and a juicer turns into a bowl. At the same time, all these functionalities are not accidental. The entire series consists in fact of items that we rarely use at home, hence the idea to incorporate a dual functionality in one object.

Projekt Recto-verso powstał wspólnie ze znakomitym francuskim ceramikiem Claude Aiello w Vallauris – francuskiej kolebce ceramiki. Kolekcja Recto-verso zrealizowana wspólnie z Claude Aiello zaprezentowana została między innymi we francuskim muzeum ceramiki Magnelli oraz belgijskim muzeum dizajnu Grand-Hornu-Images.

Cała kolekcja jest zbiorem małych ceramicznych obiektów z podwójną funkcją. Każdy z przedmiotów zmienią swoją funkcję w momencie obrócenia. Doniczka staje się wazonem, inny wazon popielniczką, a wyciskarka do cytryn miską. Wszystkie funkcje nie są jednocześnie przypadkowe. Cała seria składa się bowiem z przedmiotów, których rzadko używamy w domu, stąd pomysł aby podwójną funkcję zawrzeć w jednym przedmiocie..
